2003 - Johnson raced in the 250cc Supercross series, earning his season best, sixth-place finishes at Houston and Pontiac, Mich. He won the coveted Top Privateer Award while placing 4th in the World SX.He entered the AMA 250cc U.S. Motocross Championship, his best result an 11th place overall at New Berlin, NY...Raced with Star Racing / Bobby J's Yamaha.
2002 - Johnson raced in the 125cc AMA West Region Supercross series, his best result a sixth-place at the Jan. 19, Anaheim, Calif., event...Raced a limited AMA 250cc Supercross season, his best result ninth-place at Minneapolis...Entered the AMA 250cc U.S. Motocross Championship, taking his best overall result of eight place at Southwick, Mass...He entered just one round of the AMA 125cc U.S. Motocross Championship, at Sacramento, Calif., finishing 35th overall...Raced with LCRracing.com Yamaha.
Other Accomplishments include consistent finishes since turning Pro. Winning the 4 stroke class in the US Open in 1999. He has won several National Amateur titles including the Scott Golden Goggle Award.
Career Profile: Keith has been racing for around 16 years, mostly with the help of Bobby J's Yamaha. Keith has also ridden for Factory KTM, Motoworld Racing, LCR Racing, and helped start his own team last year Star Racing/Bobby J's Yamaha. Keith has won several amateur national tittles, including the Scott Golden Goggle Award. Keith started racing professionally in 1999 placing 5th in the Houston supercross and winning the 4-stroke class at the US Open supercross. Keith raced the 125 class for three years and then moved up to the 250 class for last year. He won the Privateer of the Year Award, placed 9th in the AMA Supercross series, and 4th in the THQ World Supercross series. This was a great achievement and was recognized on ESPN, as well as many top motocross magazines. Keith even won a semi-final qualifier and placed as high as 6th in the main, on two occasions. By far, 2003 was Keith's best season and he is looking forward to another great year.
