In 2001, he won 13 AMA Supercross races in a row
In six AMA Supercross seasons, he did not miss one start.
In only 18 races throughout his career in his career, he finished outside of the top five.
From 2001-2003 there were 48 rounds of AMA Supercross, he won 32 of them and made it to the podium 44 times.
In 2002, he finished 20th at the Anaheim opener and came back to win the title.
Although he never won Anaheim 1, from 2000 to 2007, Carmichael never lost round 9 in AMA Supercross racing (Note: He did not compete in 2004).
Carmichael is the only rider to win the AMA Supercross title on three brands.
He is only the second rider in history to ever win an AMA Supercross title for Suzuki and the first rider on a Suzuki to win two AMA Supercross titles.
He was the first rider to win an AMA Supercross title on a four-stroke motorcycle.

- James Stewart earned his 18th career AMA Supercross class win, his seventh of the season, and his first at Daytona.
- Stewart passed Mark Barnett and Jeff Stanton on the AMA Supercross all-time win list.
- Damon Bradshaw has 19 wins, so Stewart can tie him with a win this weekend.-
- Kawasaki earned their first-ever Daytona sweep with Townley and Stewart winning their respective classes.
- Chad Reed now has 68 AMA Supercross class podium finishes and is fourth on the all-time AMA Supercross class podium list.
- Reed makes his 75th consecutive AMA Supercross class start at Orlando, which is one more than Mike LaRocco.
- Jeremy McGrath made 110 consecutive AMA supercross starts from 1996 to 2002.

- Ben Townley earned his second AMA Supercross Lites win of the season last week in Daytona, Kawasaki’s ninth AMA Supercross Lites win of the season.
- Pro Circuit Kawasaki now has 85 career AMA Supercross Lites wins.
- Ryan Dungey, who won in Atlanta, did not qualify for Daytona.
- Yamaha’s Ryan Morais is in the points lead but has yet to win a race.
