Phoenix Post Race Press Conference Quotes
James Stewart
“I thought I rode a good race, a smart race and made some good passes.”
“Championship, you know, you can’t win every race but you certainly can lose it here.”
“I felt like I had the speed but there, when I was down there, I was trying to think of championship and it’s not a one race shoot out…”
“This is definitely a race I’ll look back on, you know, hopefully at the end of the season.”
“I just really gotta thank my mom and dad for keeping me grounded. I think here in championship during the week. It definitely paid off during the night. Being in the back back of the pack. Its definitely going to be a long season so it should be fun. “
Chad Reed
“It felt good. Got a good start, did what I had to do, and I felt I was putting some good laps together.”
“It was a tough track. We all were so even and I knew that no one of us could take leaps and bounds from all of each others leads.”
“I mean everybody wants to win at any given time and nobody wants to give any body too much momentum.”
“It was nice to battle verses Ricky.”
“I never felt like it was over, you know. I knew the track was slick and I knew that my pace was good. “
“It’s going to be fun. I’m looking forward to the season.”
Ricky Carmichael
“I was happy. I was pretty upset after the heat, you know, I knew I was better than that so I tried to make a turn around.”
“I just tried to plug away and make good laps. You know, make no mistakes like these guys said the track was definitely easy but it was also easy to make mistakes. So, I made a few myself. But fortunately they weren’t big ones.”
“I feel good and I am happy for the win and it was a fun race good for the fans.”
“These guys are on their game so I can’t have any slip ups.”
“I did what I had to do and it’s done with.”
“I got a lot of respect for Chad and James.”
“I’m just trying to have patience and enjoy the moment, you know. We got the three best guys up here and I am just glad to be a part of it. Like I said, I got a lot of respect for these guys and may the best man win. It will be definitely well deserved whoever the three of us wins it and hopefully we all can stay healthy and give all the fans and the sport what they wanted to see.”
