Amp’d Mobile Supercross rallies support for annual fundraising event

AURORA, Ill. (February 21, 2007) – MX for Children and Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series announced today that a fundraising drive will culminate at Seattle’s Qwest Field, Saturday, April 28, where a goal of $75,000 will be raised for Children’s Hospital & Regional Medical Center. Team Makita Suzuki will draw the winning ticket for the grand prize Suzuki RMZ-250 motorcycle during the night of racing at the Seattle stop of Amp’d Mobile Supercross. Pledge forms can be picked up and raffle tickets may be purchased at participating Suzuki dealers or online at the official website http://www.mxforchildren.org.

“As we enter our second year with MX for Children, I look forward to accomplishing our goals and continue to supporting this great cause,” said Todd Jendro, senior director of supercross, Live Nation. “Giving back to the community where is an important objective of ours, and we appreciate the kind of acts of the racers who participate in this organization.”

To preview the weekend’s race and to kick off Amp’d Mobile Supercross’ arrival in Seattle, top racers will visit the Children’s Hospital & Regional Medical Center. In addition to spending quality time with the kids at the hospital, the racers will treat the top fundraisers for the event to an exclusive photo and autograph session as part of the Inside Line Experience.

“From pictures, autographs, press conference, private practice, pit passes, there is nothing more amazing for fan to experience,” said Joanne Yaskow, mother of six year old Dakota who won the Inside Line Experience last year. “Nothing better as a parent to tell your child all these exciting things are going to happen and to him. It was like Christmas. The Inside Line Pledge Drive rewards the top 10 fundraisers a chance to meet top riders, tour factory rigs, walk the track and enjoy premium seating. Considered the quintessential all-access pass, the Inside Line Experience will give these 10 individual fundraisers the ultimate Amp’d Mobile Supercross experience. The Inside Line pledge drive ends on April 22, 2007.

Additional support will come from event sponsor Renton Motorcycles where the top supercross racers, will sign autographs at their dealership while a silent auction is held at the 70,000 square foot superstore.

It was jam packed with amazing opportunities.

“It’s great to see the riders of Amp’d Mobile Supercross and fans adopting local children’s hospitals as a cause,” said Davey Coombs, editor-in-chief of Racer X magazine.  “We are donating services to MX for Children for this event and challenge the rest of the industry to contribute in a meaningful way to this effort.”

The Inside Line Experience rallied a combined $73,000 at Seattle and Toronto in 2006. This year the bar has been raised to a goal of $75,000.
