Miss Supercross Brittney - Indianapolis

Indianapolis – The excitement was heating up! The fans were on their feet for both the Lites and Supercross class. With the Lites battle getting heated and Stewart’s charge from the back of the pack to take the win, we are always in for an unpredictable action packed show and the fans sure get their tickets worth. The track condition was to the liking of most all the riders but the triple-triple and few of the new obstacles threw a few for a loop but overall it was excellent, clean racing. I had a blast.

Each Supercross we conduct podium interviews, this is a time to get the perspective of the top riders and relay that to the fans. When not interviewing, I try to listen in on the interviews going on. I was struck by something that Stewart said at the end of the main. Stewart said, “I have worked hard for everything for my entire life, and that’s what I did tonight, worked hard. I am so happy right now.” Then he went on to say something to the effect that if kids work hard, your dreams can come true.  That is so true and what awesome positive message to send out to kids.  No matter what your hopes and dreams are, if you are willing to put in the effort and hard work, you can achieve anything. It’s not an easy road but if you never try, you’ll never know what you can do.

We see an example of dreams coming true each week with the KTM Jr. program.  These youngsters and their parents are treated to a day of making dreams come true and the program instills confidence in these kids to go out there are do their best on the same track ridden on by their own role models, the Supercross pros. How cool is that! It starts with a lot of hard work and dedication. But most of all you have to love it and want it. Having the passion and drive to race makes it easier and enjoyable.

Being at the Supercross races each week on the podium and now announcing has been a good experience. Going from my job from Miss Supercross and also now announcing has been amazing. I must admit though there are many challenges, I’m still learning and I give much respect to Erin and Jaimie. This job is tough. There is never a dull moment and you must always be on your game. At times, it’s still surreal that I’m actually standing in the middle of a supercross track right next to all the action at every race.

So, to reiterate what Stewart said, always stay focused on your goals and work hard. These riders work hard everyday and have put in hours, days, and years of hard work and dedication. It will pay off! And on that note, I will see you in Dallas to see who will take1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the Lites class and if the Supercross class will mix it up on the podium.

See you at the races!
