Miss Supercross Brittney :: Dallas
Brittney George

It all comes down to the points! It's time to do the math. Chad Reed with only two wins this season is only 2 points behind RC. Stewart closes in with 286 points – only 8 points behind Reed.  This is not just the RC / Stewart battle that everyone is always buzzing about. Reed has managed to stay on a steady path of 2 nd and 3 rd place finishes and captured a few wins to keep the point race alive.  Click above on Race Results and see for yourself. What are your predictions for Seattle ? With the points so close, will this give Reed the extra drive to go for the win or will he play it safe? I know for sure that RC and Stewart are not going to hold back. They are out for blood! Both having very unfortunate crashes in Dallas will not break the concentration. I have to admit Doc Bodnar was very busy after RC's crash behind the MasterCraft boat. From my view from the podium, legs went flying, cameras were dropped and the back of the boat was slightly gashed. It was wild. Everyone involved is ok, thankfully. RC was shaken and his bike seemed to be a bit tweaked, but he finished in 6 th place.  The excitement was elevated again when Stewart went down after over estimating a jump. In light of the falls of both RC and Stewart, Reed charged forward and claimed the win.

It was also a big weekend for the return of the West Lites class after a long break. The break proved to be a time for the guys to relax a bit, but to also practice and train hard to end the season on a high note in Dallas and Seattle. The West coast has proved to be full of talent and unpredictable on who was going to be 1-2-3 on the podium. And in Dallas the line up on the podium took another turn. Villopoto took home his first Lites Supercross win on the podium. In 2 nd and 3 rd was Short and Langston – now this is where the point battle is at. These two are so close and both looking for the championship to be theirs in Seattle . With Short finishing one position in front of Langston that puts Short with 140 points and Langston only 4 points behind. What will we see go down in Seattle for this Championship race? And even more interesting is how the East/West shoot out is going to end up in Vegas?

I started my Supercross weekend at Central Yamaha on Friday night.  I signed with the Yamaha guys – Reed, Voss, Metcalf, and Brayton - and raffled off big prizes with Bevo from Scott. After the busy evening at Yamaha we had dinner at a great Italian Restaurant. Thanks Central Yamaha for a fun evening. I had a blast meeting everyone visiting with tons of fans.

I'm already packing for Seattle , and so far no rain in the forecast. The weather and being in the Qwest Field should make for some more of the most awesome race action as the battle for the Championships continues.

See you at the races!
