What is your name, age, and whom do you ride for?
James Stewart, I’m 22 years old and I ride for Monster Kawasaki.

First time you were on a motorcycle?
I was 3 years old the first time I ever rode a motorcycle. When, I was just a baby, my dad would ride me around on his dirt bike.

How many years have you been racing?
I’ve been racing since I was 4 years old.

Why do you like racing so much?
I just don’t like racing, I love racing! I can’t even describe to you how good it feels to race and it feels even better to win.

Best race you’ve ever seen?
Best race I’ve ever seen? How about my favorite race? It was last year at the Orlando SX. Man, RC and I got after it. I had the best time racing for those 20 laps with RC and it was our last SX race against each other.

Your greatest accomplishment so far?
Winning the 2007 AMA Supercross championship.

Jeff Matiasevich

Tell us something about your hometown?
Well, I’m from Haines City, Fl where I still live today. This past year, I was made an honorary sheriff by the city council and I was also given my own official James Stewart day. At the city line, there is also a sign that reads “Haines City, Home of Motocross Champion, James Stewart.”

One thing you take with you when you travel?
iPod.

What do you eat before a race?
Sandwiches.

What kind of music do you listen to?
I listen to all types of music. On my iPod, I have rap, rock, and techno.

Favorite TV show?
Rob and Big because those guys are so funny.

Favorite magazine?
DuPont Register.

Most annoying thing about you?
Come on now, what kind of question is this?

Married, girlfriend, or single?
I do have a girlfriend.

When you’re done racing, what would you like to do?
I’m just going to retire and I don’t want to pursue any other type of racing.
