Grant Langston

What is your name, age, and whom do you ride for?
Grant Langston, I’m 25 years old, and I ride for the Factory Yamaha team.

First time you were on a motorcycle?
I was 5 years old. We had a family friend who had a bike, he crashed it a couple of times, and he was scared to ride it again. So, I jumped on it, rode it a few times, and my dad ended up buying it for me.

How many years have you been racing?
This will be my 20th year.

Why do you like racing so much?
I just love dirt bikes. I played other sports but racing kept my attention and I just stuck with it.

Best race you’ve ever seen?
Being from South Africa, racing the GP’s, and then coming over here to the States. I have seen so many good races so it’s hard to pin point one race.

Your greatest accomplishment so far?
Winning my first supercross in Houston. The week before in Dallas, I was winning the main and threw it away on the last lap.

Favorite racer of all-time?
It would have to be Greg Albertin. He opened the door for my family to be able to come to the states and race professional.

Tell us something about your hometown?
I’m from Durban, South Africa. It’s a really cool place that has beaches and there’s a lot to do.

One thing you take with you when you travel?
I have to pack extra clothes, like tee’s, and underwear. When you travel a lot, there’s nothing worse than losing your luggage.

What do you eat before a race?
Before a supercross, I have to eat some kind of pasta.

What kind of music do you listen to?
I like a little bit of everything.

Favorite TV show?
Nip/Tuck.

Favorite magazine?
I like all of the motocross magazines because they’re all different and it gives me a chance to see what they have to say about me.

Most annoying thing about you?
Everyone says I repeat myself.

Married, girlfriend, or single?
I have a beautiful wife, Chelsey. We also have two kids, Devin and Hayley.

Favorite actor or actress?
Ben Stiller.

Hottest chick on earth?
Besides my wife, I really like Alessandra Ambrósio.

Favorite meal?
My wives, Chicken Alfredo.

When you’re done racing, what would you like to do?
I don’t want to travel too much but I would like to do something Monday through Friday.
I would like to be a rider coach and open up a school to teach young kids how to ride.
