What is your name, age, and whom do you ride for?
Ryan Clark, age 29, and I ride for Team Solitaire/MB1/Kingdom Honda

First time you were on a motorcycle?
I believe around age five, but didn’t have a bike of my own until my seventh birthday.

How many years have you been racing?
I have been racing for twenty-one years of my life.

Why do you like racing so much?
I think it is a combination of things that I enjoy so much.  The competition, the risk, the reward and the journey.

Best race you’ve ever seen?
There is no such thing as a “best” race, but a heck of a lot of very good ones.

Your greatest accomplishment so far?
My greatest accomplishment would be just the fact that I am still racing my motorcycle and figuring out how to make a living doing so.  It is such an extraordinary life.

Favorite racer of all-time?
To be honest, I am not really a “racer” person.  I have some very close friends that are racers, and those are my favorite people to be with on the road.  I looked up to a lot of riders growing up, like Rick Johnson and Mike LaRocco.

Tell us something about your hometown?
My current hometown is on the outskirts of Phoenix but only has a post office and a General store.  Unfortunately, urban sprawl will soon invade.

One thing you take with you when you travel?
iPod, movies, books, and computer.

What do you eat before a race?
Chicken or Salmon, rice or cous-cous and a vegetable.  Just light portions and lots of fruit and water.

What kind of music do you listen to?
Bands ranging from the Ataris to Jim Croce. Then, from Willy Nelson to Jack Johnson.  I enjoy most music, just not bands that make noise or turn nursery rhymes into rap songs.

Favorite TV show?
October Road is the only show I get to watch now that Grey’s Anatomy is stagnant.  The show is actually horrible, but my wife and I both want to move to Knight’s Ridge.

Favorite magazine?
RacerX, of course.

Most annoying thing about you?
I am a work-a-holic.

Married, girlfriend, or single?
I have a wife and two kids.

Favorite actor or actress?
Tyler Evans.

Hottest chick on earth?
My wife still fills that role for me.

Favorite meal?
Chicken potpie or stew so thick you have to cut the broth with a knife.

When you’re done racing, what would you like to do?
Retire and buy a tropical island.  Unfortunately, with only a high-school diploma, I will more than likely enter the food service industry in my late thirty’s.
