“This year in the Lites East class we have had three different winners in the first three rounds and it doesn’t look like anyone is going to dominate like Villopoto has done on the West coast. So, it brings me to this question. Who has been the biggest surprise so far in the Lites East?"

“So far it has to be Darcy Lange because the kid came out of arenacross and then straight into supercross. That’s a really hard thing to do going from small tracks to stadium tracks and you can’t compare the competition either.”

“It would have to be Ryan Morais. Here is a kid you didn’t here too much about but with consistency and good starts he’s in the points lead.”

“Darcy Lange for sure. It’s unbelievable because everyone knew the kid was fast from winning those arenacross championships but I don’t think anyone realized how fast he could be in supercross.”

“I don’t think it’s ‘who’s’ been the biggest surprise but ‘what’s’ been the biggest surprise so far this year. I think it’s been inconsistency because you have guys who have won main events to not qualifying. Then you have a guy who DNF’d the first round and has reeled off two wins. This championship is up for grabs.”

“Ryan Morais and Matt Goerke have been the biggest surprises so far this year. Coming into the season no one even thought those guys would be in title contention.”

“I’m going with Ryan Morais because he’s held his composure and with consistency (which wins championships) he is on top of the points standings.”

“It would have to be Ryan Dungey because last year at this time he was in the intermediate class and in Atlanta he won his first supercross. I don’t think anyone has accomplished that!”
