The guy was a Factory Honda rider last year then lost his ride and Factory Connection picked him up again. And the past few rounds he has put in some incredible rides finishing inside the top five. He has also been keeping Reedy honest for that last spot on the box.”

“I would have to say Preston . He got demoted this year from Factory Honda and is riding for Factory Connection. The Factory Connection team is really good but you can’t beat riding for a factory team like Honda. I don’t think a lot of people knew what to expect out of him this year. It could have gone two ways but he has dug deep and became super motivated and his results are showing how bad he wants it.”

“To see RC come back and almost win the first couple of races. We knew he wasn’t going to race full-time this year but he has kept his training schedule full tilt and has been faster than ever.”

“Jason Lawrence to me has been the biggest surprise. He has a new outlook and has matured. And he is on a bike that he really looks comfortable on. I’m really stoked for him.”

“I’m really surprised with Pourcel. He has shown a lot of talent in the Lites class and has turned a lot of heads.”

“It would have to be Chad Reed. He was involved in a practice crash before Anaheim 1. People don’t realize how hurt he has been but I have a chance to see him at the truck after the practices and races. The guy has been in a lot of pain and he knows that he has to keep doing well if he wants to be in the championship hunt at the end of the year. You only win championships by being consistent!”
