“I think its a big step forward to where the sport needs to be. Hopefully Speed Channel will see the potential with supercross and work to make every event live.”
|
“I think with all the effort the sponsors, riders, and promoters have put into this years series, this would be a great end to a great series.” |

“I think it's fantastic. While Daytona has been broadcast live, or on same-day tape delay, that was more part of being a part of Speed's Bike Week TV package, Vegas will be more of a ‘stand along’ deal. I think it'll be a watershed moment for our sport. If you can't make it to Vegas, how cool is it to now know that you could get your buddies together on Saturday night and watch the race as it happens. That's another very important element to all this. When a sport goes to live TV, a dynamic called "communal experience" is created. This is what has made the X Games so successful. More of a buzz is created when people are watching an event live on TV - as it takes place in real time - just like the people in the stands at the race."

“I’m calling my mom right now to set the Ti-Vo, just in case, I’m not home that weekend. It’s doesn’t get any better than being live on TV.”

“I think this has been a dream of our sport for some time. I think it proves that the sport of Supercross has hit a level that competes or will compete with ball and stick sports and being live on television is the beginning. This is a great day and I'm so proud to part of history.”

“I think it's a big step forward for the sport and I'm excited about it. However, nothing can replace the feeling of being in Vegas with 35-40,000 screaming fans watching the world's best athletes battle it out.”

“Supercross going to live television is a huge milestone for the sport. It is a great testament of the growing popularity of Supercross and Motocross.” |
"I think this is a fantastic deal for supercross fans all over the country, because this title chase is going right down to the wire. It's the perfect way to end the 'Perfect Storm 2.' The only way it could possibly be better is if Speed could possibly find a spot a repeat showing the next day or week, because the Las Vegas main events are going to be hitting the track pretty late on the East Coast for a lot of kids and parents. But I'm not complaining; I know a few people already planning Vegas SX broadcast parties for their living rooms."
