Well, based off of last week’s bike situation…nothing came to rescue Joe from a blown up motor. Luckily, he spoke to some Kawasaki people and they welcomed the thought of helping him repair his motor and get his bike back together so that we can sell it.
It’s sad that we have to sell the bike, but being that it doesn’t have much time on it…now is the time that we need to move on and try something else. So, on that note…know anyone that needs a newly built 2008 KX450F…we have one for sale!
Joe has decided to find something else within the sport to keep him busy from now on. He hasn’t quite figured out what that will be yet, but has been able to speak with a good amount of people within this last week to help make that decision. We should know what is going to happen in the next couple of weeks.
Like I said before, I am sad to see Joe retire from Supercross and Motocross racing, but things come to an end, if they didn’t we would never know change. We have received lots of emails and calls from people wanting to help Joe out by sending money to get Joe to the races. We want to thank everyone for their support…it is truly an honor to see how much you appreciate what all the riders do for the sport.
I don’t know if I will be continuing to write this article or not…but if there is ever anything that Joe or I can do help out in some way, you can always contact us at Competitive Edge MX Park. I am still the Track Manager there and will be involved in this sport for quite a while.
As I mentioned in the last weeks article…Joe and I welcomed our second child into the world on Tuesday, February 5th. Khiler Leigh Oehlhof arrived in good health and is handling the many kisses that she is getting from her big brother – Leum. Thanks to everyone for their well wishes and calls.
Thanks again for a wonderful life that you have provided for our family. Our lives wouldn’t be near as full without this sport and we will continue to be a part of it for as long as we can.
Here is Khiler’s first online picture – enjoy!
