It’s so good to be back to Monster Energy Supercross! I can’t believe Anaheim 1 has come and passed already! This past Saturday was a busy one and I still feel like I am recuperating from it!
My day started off around 7AM to get ready because I needed to be at the stadium by 9:30AM. When the pits opened around noon, I was out and about mingling in the pits! It was so great catching up with everyone and seeing a lot of the industry faces that I haven’t seen since last spring. The pits were CRAZY and packed! Tons of photos, and lots of talking! My face hurt after 3PM! Haha!
By the time the night show came around, I pump myself up on the filled stadium. This past weekend’s track was a different style of supercross track! There were a lot of tight corners and technicalities. During the heat races, I was up in the crowds giving away merchandise and interviewing fans for the big screen! It’s always so great talking with people that have came from all over the place just to watch the action!
The Lites Main Event was so exciting! A bummer for one of my favorites, Dean Wilson. On the second to last turn, he tipped over in efforts to pass the night’s leader and winner, Cole Seely! He was in second and after that mistake it cost him a 6th place finish.
In the Supercross Main Event, I was rooting for Reed! Great racing by all the riders! Stewart ended up crashing, and took himself out of a top 3 finish for the night! Congratulations to Ryan Villopoto for taking home the win! He has been on a great winning streak since last year’s Monster Energy Supercross.
Thank you to FELD for giving me a second year as Miss Supercross! I am so excited, and can’t wait for Phoenix this weekend and every other stop on our tour! See you all soon!
